Wulime Goyit works in Jos, Nigeria, with the Plateau State Ministry of Information and Communication, where he is director, new media and communication. Educated at the Boys’ Secondary School Gindiri and the University of Jos, he has had a stint at the Plateau Publishing Corporation as features writer, features editor, and deputy editor of the Nigeria Standard group of newspapers at different times. He has also worked at the Plateau State Government House as deputy director of press in the office of the governor and, at another time, as chief press secretary to the deputy governor. Alongside his public service career, he has been engaged in gender and human rights activities under the auspices of the League for Human Rights (LHR) and the Centre for Human Rights and Prevention of Trafficking in Persons (CHRiPTiP) in Jos, Nigeria. A consultant editor for many publications, he has edited over a dozen books and several newspaper articles.

Mr. Izang Aware, is a legal practitioner and a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria. He is a Notary Public and the Principal Partner at Aware Attorneys Jos, Nigeria. He is multifaceted in legal expertise, administrative prowess and is committed to social progress.

He holds a Bachelor’s of Laws degree from the University of Jos and completed his vocational training at the Nigerian Law School, Abuja.

A Libarian by background, Mr. Aware served with the National Library of Nigeria from 1988 to 2007, where he demonstrated exceptional leadership. He notably assumed responsibilities for overseeing the Jos Branch during the absence of the Head of Branch.

Mr. Aware, also showcased his versatility as a freelance reporter to the Entertainment Desk of the Saturday and Sunday editions of the Nigeria Standard Newspapers and became a regular features writer for the newspapers.

In 2008, Mr. Aware delved into private legal practice with the law firm of Shanding, Danboyi & Company, paving the way for him to become a valuable counsel at the firm, representing clients in various legal matters. In 2017, he took a significant step in his legal career by establishing a partnership under the name and style of Aware Attorneys.

Between 2022 and 2024, Mr. Aware served as the Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association, Jos Branch, where he exemplified leadership within the legal community.

Viewing the law as an instrument of social engineering, good governance, and the advancement of equality without bias to gender, Mr. Aware actively contributes to legal discourse, articles in newspapers, and presentations at seminars and workshops reflecting his commitment to legal advocacy.

Beyond his legal endeavors, Mr. Aware also reveals his artistic side as a poet. He has expanded his horizons through travels to Jordan and Israel, gaining insights into global perspectives.

A connoisseur of gospel music, Mr. Aware, finds relaxation in watching football during his spare time.

John Simon Tsok

Executive Director/CEO

Centre for Human Rights and Prevention of Trafficking in Persons

John Tsok is the founding Director of Centre for Human Rights and Prevention of Trafficking in Persons, supporting issues of rights, including promoting religious liberty in Nigeria.

He is a Human Rights Attorney and Notary Public, practicing law at Aware Attorneys in Jos, Nigeria as a partner.

Mr. Tsok holds an LLB, BL, LLM, PhD Law (iv) and HD in journalism and Mass Communication.

Besides law practice, Mr. Tsok is engaged as part-time lecturer at NTA Television College, an affiliate of the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, teaching Media laws and Nigeria’s Constitutional Development.

He has been a facilitator with Women for Women International, Nigeria, teaching basic human rights, particularly as it affects Gender Based Violence, human trafficking, rights of children, sexual violence, social and economic rights.

As a human rights activist, Mr. Tsok attended the 45^th Pre-Session of the UN’s Universal Periodic Review in Geneva, Switzerland in 2023 during Nigeria’s human rights records review. His human rights advocacy afforded him to engage with the Representatives of  Missions in Geneva on the escalation of violence in the Middle Belt region of Nigeria.

In 2024, Mr. Tsok was nominated by the Africa and Latin America Enterprise (AFLAME) and trained by CiviNovus Institute in South Africa on Africa Good Governance, the subject being a rights issue. He is currently, the Lead Facilitator in Nigeria.

In a world full of conflicts, mediation being part of dispute resolution and part of modern law practice, Mr. Tsok is trained in the Kingian concept of non-violence and conflict resolution as a fulfillment of human rights in a non-violent manner by the Centre for Non-Violence and Conflict Transformation (CNCT) USA. He is also a Mediator and Conciliator and is an associate member of Nigeria’s Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators.

Mr. Tsok is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA).

He is also a member of Freedom of Religion or Belief (FoRB)

Mr. Tsok has travelled to Israel, USA, Cote d’Ivoire, Switzerland, South Africa, Kenya, and Canada.

He enjoys reading, writing, and traveling. He is married to Esther, and they have three children.
