MANAGEMENT AND PLANNING
CHRiPTiP’s process of internal reform is to strengthen its planning, monitoring, and evaluation functions. Its human resources, finance, and administrative management have been yielding results. Progress was made in standardizing a predictable year planning process, as well as in starting to build the capacity of members and providing guidance on results-based planning and monitoring as well as the generation of lessons learned and best practices, which will require further improvement. STRUCTURE AND GOVERNING COUNCIL
The Governing Council of the Organization is responsible for the conduct of the Organization’s general operations, performing duties under power delegated by the Council. The governing Council meets regularly at the head office as the case may be. They are served with audit and budget reports for development effectiveness, Governance and administrative matters. The administration and financial control of the organization is vested in the Executive Director who implements and takes responsibility for the day-to-day running of the organization. He is supported by the Director of Program, Program Officer(s) and other supporting staff. The Governing Council of the Organization consists of people of proven character and commitment to good governance, rule of law, democracy, and ideal human society. The Governing Council has the mandate of reviewing the Organization’s activities, giving advice, and taking critical and strategic decisions towards repositioning the Organization’s operations to ensure relevance to current trends and societal needs. It also contributes to the Organization’s growth in kind and in cash for specific purposes.

Job Description of Staff
Executive Director
The responsibilities of the Director are as follows but are not limited to:
i. The Executive Director shall be the CEO and shall ensure the overall running of the Organization.
ii. He/She will be a Member of the Council by virtue of his or her position.
Director of Program
The responsibilities of the Director of Program are as follow but not limited to:
i. Reporting directly to the Executive Director
ii. Represent the Organization in meetings, conferences and other engagements
iii. Ensure the welfare and staff discipline
iv. Ensure the smooth running of the Organization
v. Carry out other duties that may be assigned to him or her by the Executive Director
Program Officer: Monitoring and Evaluation Officer (M&E)
The responsibilities of the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer are as follow but not limited to:
i. Ensures that all materials that serve as means of verification are well documented
ii. Ensures activities under the project or programs are tailored towards their goals and objectives
iii. Ensures that all reports and files of activities are well filed
iv. Report directly to the Director of Program and carries out other duties assigned to him or her
Program Officer: Gender and Reproductive Health
The responsibilities of the officer are as follows but not limited to:
i. Ensures that relevant stakeholders are meaningfully engaged for the project activities
ii. Liaise with the Ministry of Women Affairs in areas that are related to women and children’s welfare
iii. Makes logistics arrangements for project activities and resource persons.
iv. Write reports of activities carried out
v. Ensure that project activities under his/her department meet their goals and objectives
vi. Reports directly to the Program Director and also carries out other responsibilities assigned to him/her
Program Officer: Peace-Building, Conflict Resolution and Climate Change
The responsibilities of the officer are as follows but not limited to:
i. Engages relevant stakeholders in view of sustainability of peace and security in development of the community or societies
ii. Ensures that project activities meet their goals and objectives
iii. Ensures logistics arrangements for project activities and resource persons
iv. Writes reports of activities carried out
v. Report directly to the Director of Program and also carries out any other responsibilities that may be assigned to him/her by the Director of Program
Legal Officer
The responsibilities of the officer are as follows but not limited to:
i. Ensures that all cases that relate to human rights abuse/complaints are well documented
ii. Takes up cases of indigent clients who cannot afford the costs of court cases probono
iii. Liaises with legal practitioners who are friends of the Organization for probono services
iv. Reports directly to the Director of Program and also carries out other responsibilities that may be assigned to him/her
Administration and Finance Officer
The responsibilities of the officer are as follows but not limited to:
i. Maintains all accounts of the Organization
ii. Ensures that all financial transactions are carried out professionally
iii. Presents a monthly statement of accounts of the Organization
iv. Keeps records of all financial transactions of the Organization
v. Prepares a monthly budget for the office running and presents it to the Director of Program for approval
vi. He/She must be a signatory to the Organization’s Accounts.
vii. Reports directly to the Program Director as well carries out other activities that may be assigned to him or her by the Director of Program
Volunteer(s)
The responsibilities of the volunteers are as follows but not limited to:
i. The volunteers are to carry out sundry duties that may be assigned to them by the Program Officers
ii. Ensures that he/she is diligent in learning from the staff
iii. Ensures adequate participation in all programs especially when assigned by the Program Officer
iv. He or She is responsible to the Program Officer assigned to at all times.

MEMBERSHIP, PARTNERSHIP AND NETWORKING
Membership to the Organization is open to all with proven character and interest in becoming a member of the Organization by obtaining the membership form at its office. At the moment, the Organization has a good number of members with professional qualifications and competencies in areas of law, peace, education, gender, governance, media and medicine, etc. This has presented the Organization with the human resources required to effectively and efficiently intervene in its thematic areas. The organization has partnership and networking affiliations with a wide range of platforms where ideas, experiences, and good practices are shared. The network partners include:

FINANCE/FUNDING
The Organization generates funds from membership through registrations, annual dues, consultancy and donor funding.General funds of the Organization are applied for the achievement of the general objectives of the organization, while donor funds are applied to specific donor-supported interventions.
